"A Good Man is Hard to Find"

In Flannery Connor's short story "A Good Man is Hard to Find" she uses a lot of foreshadowing. I did not realize the foreshadowing she uses until we discussed the story in class. When Mrs. Diggs explained how the SIX grave stones they passed on the way to Florida was a foreshadowing of their soon to be demise. Also O'Connor uses the forest as another way of foreshadowing by describing it as a "gaping mouth". I also did not realize how manipulative the Grandmother was. I wasn't really reading that hard into it I suppose, but some good points were made about her manipulation techniques. Over all I really enjoyed the story.
